Getting There

    Start from the center of Hveragerdi. Head west on the main road (Route 1) towards Hella. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will see signs for Hella. Continue to follow the signs for Hella, and after another 5 kilometers, you will arrive at the town of Hella. Once in Hella, look for the signs directing you to the Caves of Hella, located at '851 Hella'. The caves are located just off the main road, and there is parking available nearby.

    From Hveragerdi, take the bus service towards Hella. Buses run regularly, and the journey takes about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to check the local bus schedule for specific times. Once you arrive in Hella, you can either walk to the Caves of Hella or take a local taxi. The caves are approximately 2 kilometers from the bus stop in Hella, so walking will take about 25 minutes. If you choose to take a taxi, it should cost around 3000 ISK.
