Getting There

Walking
From the center of Hveragerdi, head northeast on Aðalgata street towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Suðurlandsvegur road (Route 1). Continue walking along Suðurlandsvegur for approximately 2.5 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Keilir road. Turn left onto Keilir road and walk for about 1 kilometer until you see the sign for Keilir on your right. Follow the footpath leading up to the mountain peak.

If you have rented a bicycle in Hveragerdi, start from the Hveragerdi town square and head northeast on Aðalgata street. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Suðurlandsvegur road (Route 1). Continue cycling straight for about 2.5 kilometers. When you reach the intersection with Keilir road, take a left turn onto it. Follow Keilir road for about 1 kilometer, and you will find the entrance to Keilir mountain peak on your right. Park your bicycle at the designated area and proceed on foot to the peak.
