Getting There

    From the center of Hveragerdi, start at the main square (Hveragerðisgötu) and walk north towards the Hveragerði church. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Reykjalundur road. Take a left onto Reykjalundur road and continue walking until you reach the bus stop for Route 1, heading towards Reykjavík. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride.

  • Bus

    Take the bus from the Hveragerdi bus stop (Hveragerði). Look for a bus heading to Reykjavík (Route 1 or 1A). The journey will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at the Reykjavík bus terminal, you will need to walk to Skógarhlíð 10, which is approximately a 10-minute walk. Exit the terminal and head northwest on Hringbraut, then turn left onto Skógarhlíð. The destination will be on your right.

  • Bicycle

    If you rented a bicycle in Hveragerdi, start from the center and head north towards the Hveragerði church. Follow the same route as for walking, taking Reykjalundur road to the bus stop. You can ride your bike directly to Reykjavík along the scenic paths, but ensure to follow the designated bike lanes and be cautious of traffic. Once you reach Reykjavík, head towards the bus terminal and continue as described in the bus instructions.
