From the center of Hveragerdi, head northwest on the main road, Þjóðvegur 1, towards the town of Selfoss. Continue straight for approximately 4 kilometers until you reach the bus stop labeled 'Hveragerdi'. Here, you can catch a bus to Reykjavík. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the latest departure times. The journey will take about 30 minutes.

Once you arrive in Reykjavík, disembark at the 'BSI' bus terminal. From BSI, walk towards the main street, Laugavegur, and head north until you reach Hlemmur Square. From Hlemmur, you can take Bus No. 15 towards 'Sundhöllin'. Get off at the stop named 'Skólavörðustígur'. The Leif Eriksson Monument will be a short walk from there, located at Skólavörðustígur 45, just a few minutes away.

If you prefer walking from Hlemmur Square, you can walk east on Laugavegur until you reach the intersection with Skólavörðustígur. Turn left onto Skólavörðustígur, and continue for about 500 meters.
