Bus
From Keflavik town center, head to the main bus station located at Hafnargata 15. From there, take the Strætó bus number 55 towards Reykjanesbær. Stay on the bus for approximately 25-30 minutes. Get off at the stop named 'Brimketill'. After exiting the bus, walk for about 10 minutes following the signs towards the Brimketill lava rock pool. The scenic spot will be on your left.
Walking
If you are already near the coastline in Keflavik, you can walk to Brimketill. Start by walking towards the waterfront along the Reykjanesbraut road. Continue walking straight past the harbor and follow the coastal path. After about 1 hour of walking, you will see the signs directing you to Brimketill. The walk is scenic, offering beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding landscape.
Bicycle
You can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Keflavik. Once you have a bicycle, head towards the Reykjanesbraut road and follow it towards the south. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Brimketill as you approach. There are bike paths available, making it a safe and enjoyable ride.
