Public Bus
From Keflavik, walk to the nearest bus stop, which is 'Keflavik Airport'. Take the Strætó bus number 55 towards Reykjavik. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes until you reach the stop 'Hafnarfjörður, Norðurhella'. From there, transfer to bus number 1 towards 'Hafnarfjörður, Stafnes'. After about 10 minutes, get off at 'Hafnarfjörður, Gálgahraun'. From that stop, it is a 15-minute walk to Thríhnúkagígur Volcano. Head southeast on Gálgahraun road, then turn left onto Mývatn road. Continue straight until you reach the entrance of Thríhnúkagígur Volcano.
