From Kerlingarfjöll, head south on Route 1 (the Ring Road). Continue on Route 1 for about 30 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 35. Turn right onto Route 35 and drive for approximately 50 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 54. Take Route 54, and follow the signs for Hvítserkur waterfall. The parking area is located close to the waterfall, and once parked, a short walk of about 10-15 minutes will lead you to the viewing area of the waterfall. Ensure you have a GPS or map for more precise navigation.
