Getting there

Bus

From anywhere in Kopavogur, head to the nearest bus stop. Look for the bus route number 1 or 3, which will take you directly to Reykjavík. Board the bus and enjoy the ride. You will get off at the 'Hlemmur' bus station in Reykjavík, a major transport hub. Once you arrive at Hlemmur, transfer to bus number 18, which will take you to 'Perlan'. The bus will make several stops, and you should get off at the stop named 'Perlan'. From there, it’s a short walk to the entrance of Perlan. The entire journey should take approximately 30-45 minutes depending on wait times.

Walking

If you are near the coastline in Kopavogur, you can enjoy a scenic walk towards Reykjavík. Head towards the main road, 'Kopavogurvegur', and follow it towards the city. This walk is approximately 6 km and will take you around 1 to 1.5 hours. As you approach Reykjavík, keep an eye out for signs directing you to 'Perlan', which is located on a hill overlooking the city. Once you reach the base of the hill, there is a path that will lead you up directly to the entrance of Perlan.

Bicycle

You can rent a bicycle from various rental shops in Kopavogur. After renting, head towards the main road, 'Kopavogurvegur', and follow the bike lane towards Reykjavík. The ride is approximately 6 km and should take about 20-30 minutes. As you enter Reykjavík, follow the signs for 'Perlan', which will lead you uphill to the attraction. There are bike racks available at Perlan for you to secure your bicycle.
