From Kopavogur, walk to the nearest bus stop. You can take Bus number 1 towards 'Sundhöll' and get off at 'Hlemmur' bus terminal. From Hlemmur, transfer to Bus number 3 towards 'Drottning' and get off at 'Tryggvagata'. The Reykjavík Museum of Photography is located at Grófarhús, Tryggvagata 15, which is just a short walk from the bus stop.

If you are near the center of Kopavogur, you can walk towards the harbor area. Head north on the main road until you reach the intersection with the highway (Route 1). Cross the road and continue walking straight towards the city center of Reykjavík. Follow the signs towards 'Miðborg' (the city center). Once you reach the center, look for Tryggvagata street. The museum is located at Grófarhús, Tryggvagata 15.
