Once parked, you'll need to continue by foot as there are no roads directly leading to Rauðauga. The hiking path begins near the visitors' center.

If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavík to Landmannalaugar. The bus service operates during the summer months, typically from June to September. Once you arrive at the Landmannalaugar bus stop, follow the same walking directions as above to reach Rauðauga. The hike will take about 30-45 minutes from the bus stop.
