Walking
From the main camping area in Landmannalaugar, start by following the marked hiking trails that lead towards the south. The path will take you through scenic lava fields and colorful rhyolite mountains. Continue on this trail for approximately 4 km (about 1 hour of walking). Look for signs directing you towards Rauðárfoss. The trail is well-maintained but can be rocky in places, so sturdy hiking shoes are recommended.

Driving (if applicable)
If you have a vehicle, drive from Landmannalaugar towards the F208 road. The road is gravel and may require a 4x4 vehicle, especially in wet conditions. Follow the F208 south for about 19 km until you reach the intersection with the road leading to Rauðárfoss. Turn right onto the unmarked road and continue for another 4 km until you reach the parking area near the waterfall. Be prepared for the possibility of needing to pay for parking, which is common at popular tourist sites.
