If you're driving from Akureyri, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading east. After about 60 km, take the exit for Route 843 towards Húsavík. Continue on Route 843 for approximately 25 km until you reach the intersection with Route 1 again. Turn left onto Route 1 and continue for about 14 km. Then, turn right onto Route 26 towards the interior. Drive for about 40 km until you reach the turnoff for F26, a gravel road. Note that F26 is only accessible by 4x4 vehicles, so ensure your car is suitable for this terrain. Follow F26 for about 20 km, and you will reach Aldeyjarfoss.
