    If you are traveling by car, head towards the town of Borgarnes, which is a central point in the Northwestern Region. From Borgarnes, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading north. After approximately 35 km, turn right onto Route 54 towards Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Continue for about 50 km until you reach the junction with Route 58. Turn left onto Route 58, and after approximately 16 km, you will see signs for Borgarvirki. Follow the signs for another 5 km, and you will arrive at Borgarvirki. Parking is available near the site.

    If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavik to Borgarnes. The bus departs from the BSI Bus Terminal in Reykjavik.
