If you're traveling by car in the Northwestern Region, head towards the town of Blönduós. From Reykjavík, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading north until you reach the intersection with Route 68 near Bifrost. Take Route 68 north until you reach the T-junction with Route 1 again, then turn left onto Route 1 towards Blönduós. Once in Blönduós, follow local signs to Húnaver, located approximately 10 minutes northeast of the town center. The exact address is 541 Blönduós. There are no tolls on this route, but be sure to have enough fuel as gas stations can be sparse.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Reykjavík to Blönduós. Check the schedules from Strætó, the Icelandic bus service. Upon arriving in Blönduós, you will need to arrange for a taxi or use a local ride-sharing service to reach Húnaver, which is about 10 km away. Note that bus services may have limited schedules, especially in the off-season, so be sure to plan ahead and confirm the latest bus times.
