If you are driving from the town of Ísafjörður, head east on Route 61. After approximately 45 kilometers, turn left onto Route 60. Continue on Route 60 for about 20 kilometers until you reach the junction with Route 54. Turn left onto Route 54 and drive for another 15 kilometers. Look for signs for Lambeyri, and take the exit onto a local road that leads you directly to Steinstaðaskóli. The campground is located at the coordinates 65.4638785, -19.3481787.

To reach Lambeyri by public transportation, take the bus from Ísafjörður. Use the Strætó bus service (Route 61) to travel towards Borgarnes and get off at the stop for Steinstaðaskóli.
