Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from any point in the Northwestern Region and make your way towards Reykjavik. Take Route 1, the Ring Road, towards the capital. Continue on Route 1 for approximately 180 km until you reach the outskirts of Reykjavik. Once you are in Reykjavik, follow signs for Hlíðar and head towards the city center. Perlan is located at Varmahlíð 1, 105 Reykjavík. You can find parking available nearby, but be aware that parking may incur a fee.

    If you are using public transportation, you can take a bus from towns in the Northwestern Region such as Akureyri or Ísafjörður to Reykjavik. Check the schedules at the local bus stations or online at the Strætó website (www.straeto.is) for the latest timetables. Once you arrive in Reykjavik, you can take local bus number 18, which takes you directly to Perlan. The bus stop you need is 'Perlan' located right outside the building.
