If you are driving from Reykjavik, take Route 41 towards the Reykjanes Peninsula. After about 7 km, take the exit to Route 42 towards Seltjarnarnes. Continue on Route 42 for approximately 8 km, following signs for Seltjarnarnes. Once you reach Seltjarnarnes, follow the signs to Grótta. The lighthouse is located at the end of a small peninsula, and you will find parking areas nearby.

To reach Grótta Island Lighthouse using public transportation, take Bus 15 from the Reykjavik city center. The bus will take you to Seltjarnarnes, which is about a 30-minute ride. Get off at the stop called 'Seltjarnarnes - Grótta'. From there, it is a short 1 km walk to the lighthouse. Follow the path towards the peninsula, and you will see the lighthouse at the end of the trail.
