If you are driving from downtown Reykjavík, head southwest on Laugavegur street. Continue straight until you reach Hlemmur Square. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Snorrabraut. Follow Snorrabraut until it turns into Laufásvegur, then take a left onto Sæbraut. Continue straight until you arrive at the statue of Leifur Eiríksson located at the top of Skólavörðustígur, in front of Hallgrímskirkja church. Parking is available on the streets nearby, but be aware of parking regulations and fees.

Public Transportation
To reach Leifur Eiríksson via public transportation, you can take Bus Line 14 from the main bus terminal, Hlemmur. Board the bus and ride for about 10 minutes until you reach the stop called 'Hallgrímskirkja'. From there, it is a short walk to the statue. Simply walk up Skólavörðustígur street, and you will find the statue of Leifur Eiríksson directly in front of Hallgrímskirkja church. Be sure to check the bus schedule on the Strætó app or website for current times and fares.

If you are staying in central Reykjavík, walking to Leifur Eiríksson is a pleasant option. From the Harpa Concert Hall, head west towards the waterfront and follow the path along the coast. Turn left onto Sæbraut, and continue walking until you reach the statue of Leifur Eiríksson, which is located by the Hallgrímskirkja church. This walk should take approximately 20-30 minutes and offers beautiful views of the harbor and the surrounding area.
