To reach Keilir from downtown Reykjavik, start by going to the main bus terminal, BSI, which is located at Vatnsmýrarvegur 10. From there, take the bus number 55 towards Keflavik Airport. Stay on the bus for about 30 minutes. You will need to get off at the stop named 'Keilir'. From the bus stop, it is approximately a 10-minute walk to the base of the mountain. Follow the signs that direct you to Keilir, and you will see the mountain ahead of you.
