Start at the center of Selfoss, near the Selfoss Church (Selfosskirkja). Head southwest on Aðalgata street towards the river. Continue until you reach the bridge over the Ölfusá River. Cross the bridge and take a moment to enjoy the view. After crossing, turn left onto the path that runs alongside the river, known as the Ölfusá Path (Ölfusá stígur). Follow this path for about 1.5 kilometers (about a 20-minute walk). You will see signs directing you towards Ölfusá Overlook. Keep walking until you reach the highlighted scenic spot, which is a popular viewpoint overlooking the river.

If you have access to a bicycle, rent one from a local shop in Selfoss. Start at the Selfoss Church and head southwest on Aðalgata street. When you reach the bridge over the Ölfusá River, cross it. After crossing, turn left onto the Ölfusá Path (Ölfusá stígur). This path is suitable for cycling. Continue along the path for about 1.5 kilometers. Watch for signs directing you to Ölfusá Overlook. The ride should take around 10 minutes, depending on your speed. Enjoy the beautiful views along the way!
