Walking
From Seydisfjordur, start at the town center near the Seydisfjordur Church. Head southeast on the main road (the same road you arrived on). Follow the road for approximately 12 kilometers until you reach the intersection with Route 93. Continue straight, following the signs towards Reyðarfjörður. As you approach Reyðarfjörður, look for a small path to the right that leads towards the waterfall. The path is well-marked and should take you directly to Búðarárfoss, which is located near the coordinates 65.0419798, -14.2006479.
Bicycle
If you have a bicycle, you can take the same route as walking. Start from the Seydisfjordur town center and head southeast on the main road. Follow the road for about 12 kilometers towards Reyðarfjörður. Once you reach the intersection with Route 93, continue straight. Watch for the path on your right that leads to Búðarárfoss. This route is scenic and provides a great opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the fjord.
Hiking
For adventurous hikers, you can take a more scenic route starting from Seydisfjordur. Begin at the Seydisfjordur Church and hike up the mountain trail that runs parallel to the road. This trail will give you panoramic views of the fjord and eventually lead you down towards Reyðarfjörður. Once you reach the bottom, follow the main road for a short distance until you find the path that leads to Búðarárfoss. Be sure to wear appropriate hiking gear and take plenty of water.
