If you are driving to Falljokull parking, start from the Skaftafell Visitor Center, which is located along Route 1 (the Ring Road). From the Visitor Center, head east on Route 1 for about 5 kilometers. Look for the sign for 'Svinafell' and take a left turn onto the road leading to Svínafell. Continue on this road for approximately 3 kilometers until you reach the Falljokull parking area marked with a sign. The parking area is located at coordinates X56H+3HH, 785 Svínafell.

To reach Falljokull parking via public transportation, first take a bus from Reykjavik to Skaftafell National Park. The bus ride typically takes around 5 to 6 hours, so plan accordingly. Once you arrive at the Skaftafell bus stop, you will need to walk to the Skaftafell Visitor Center, which is about a 10-minute walk. From the Visitor Center, follow the directions for driving (5 kilometers east on Route 1, then left onto the Svinafell road for about 3 kilometers) but on foot. Note that it is advisable to check the bus schedule in advance, as services may vary in the off-season.
