Getting There

Car
From the main parking area of Skaftafell National Park, head east on Route 1 (the Ring Road) towards Höfn. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will see signs for Grænalón. Turn left onto the road leading to Grænalón. Follow this road until you reach the Grænalón glacier lagoon. Parking is available near the lagoon.

Public Transportation
Take a bus from Skaftafell to Höfn on the South Coast line. Buses run several times a day. Upon arriving in Höfn, you will need to transfer to a local taxi service or a pre-arranged shuttle to reach Grænalón, as public transport does not go directly there.
