If you are driving from the main entrance of Skaftafell National Park, head northwest on Route 1 (the Ring Road) towards Selfoss. Continue for approximately 120 kilometers (about 1 hour and 30 minutes). As you approach Selfoss, take the exit onto Route 35 towards Geysir. Follow Route 35 for about 10 kilometers until you reach the Geysir geothermal area. Strokkur Geyser is located within this area, and parking is available nearby.

To reach Strokkur Geyser via public transportation, you can take a bus from Skaftafell to Selfoss. There are several bus services that run on this route. Once in Selfoss, you will need to transfer to a bus heading to Geysir. Confirm the bus schedules in advance, as they can vary by season. The total travel time may take around 3 to 4 hours, including transfer times, so plan accordingly. Once you arrive at Geysir, Strokkur Geyser is a short walk from the bus stop.
