Getting There

• Hiking from Þórsmörk

  From the main Þórsmörk visitor center, start your hike towards Tindfjöll. Follow the marked trails leading southeast. The path is well-maintained, but be prepared for some steep sections. The hike is approximately 3.5 km (2.2 miles) and will take around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your pace. As you ascend, enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. After parking, follow the same hiking path as described above to reach Tindfjöll. • Public Transportation

  If you are using public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavik to Þórsmörk. The bus service is operated by companies like Sterna and you can find schedules online. The bus ride takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. Once you arrive at the Þórsmörk bus stop, follow the hiking path towards Tindfjöll as described earlier.
