Walking
From the center of Stykkisholmur, head southwest on Aðalgata Street towards the harbor. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto the road leading to Route 54, which will eventually become Route 1. Follow this road for approximately 30 kilometers. You will pass through scenic landscapes and small villages. Look for signs indicating Grundarfjörður. Upon reaching Grundarfjörður, follow the signs towards Kirkjufell. The viewpoint is located at the coordinates 64.922056, -23.285059, which is approximately a 15-minute walk from the main road. Follow the path leading towards the mountain for the best views.

Start at the bus terminal in Stykkisholmur. Look for the bus service that operates to Grundarfjörður. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive in Grundarfjörður, exit the bus and follow the signs leading to Kirkjufell. It's about a 15-minute walk from the bus stop to the viewpoint.
