Turn onto Route 32 and continue until you reach the junction with Route 1. Take Route 1 south and then turn onto Route 208 towards Landmannalaugar. Follow the signs for Panorama Ridge as you approach the Highlands. The road conditions may vary, so ensure your vehicle is suitable for highland driving. Keep in mind that a 4x4 vehicle is highly recommended due to the rough terrain. There are no tolls on this route, but you may need to pay a fee for parking at Landmannalaugar, usually around ISK 1,000.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take a bus from Reykjavik to Landmannalaugar. Various companies offer this service, and the bus ride usually takes about 4-5 hours. Once you arrive in Landmannalaugar, you will need to hike to Panorama Ridge. The hike is moderately strenuous, and it is recommended to allow 2-3 hours to reach the ridge.
