After approximately 50 km, turn onto Route 35 towards Þingvellir National Park. Continue on Route 35 until you reach the junction with Route 32. Turn onto Route 32 and follow it until you see signs for Route 26. This will lead you into the Highlands. Drive along Route 26 until you reach the junction with F208. Turn onto F208, which will take you deeper into the Highlands. Follow this road and look for signs for Axlafoss waterfall. The waterfall is located near the coordinates 63.8065° N, 18.7643° W. Once you arrive at the parking area, there will be a short hike to the waterfall.
