Parking is free, and there is a short walk from the parking area to the waterfall itself.

If you prefer to use public transportation, take a bus from major hubs in The Highlands such as Akureyri or Reykjavik to Vik. From Vik, you can catch a local bus towards Skógafoss. Make sure to check the bus schedules in advance, as they may not run frequently. Once you arrive at the Skógafoss stop, it is just a short walk to the waterfall. Be aware of bus fares; they typically range from ISK 3,000 to ISK 5,000 depending on your starting point.
