Car
If you are traveling by car, start from Reykjavik and take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading towards Borgarnes. After approximately 60 km, take the exit towards Route 54 (Snæfellsnes Peninsula). Continue on Route 54 for about 100 km until you reach the junction with Route 574. Take a left onto Route 574, which will lead you directly to Búðir. Búðakirkja (Búðir Church) is located at 356 Búðir. There is a small parking area available near the church.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Reykjavik to Borgarnes. From Borgarnes, you can catch a bus to Snæfellsnes Peninsula. The closest bus stop to Búðakirkja is at Búðir. Please check the bus schedules in advance, as they can be limited, especially on weekends. Once you arrive at the Búðir bus stop, Búðakirkja is a short walk (about 500 meters) from there. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as the walk may involve uneven terrain.
