Getting there

Car

If you are driving from Reykjavik, take Route 1 (the Ring Road) heading north. After approximately 70 kilometers, take the exit onto Route 50 towards Borgarnes. Continue on Route 50 for about 40 kilometers until you reach the town of Borgarnes. From Borgarnes, follow Route 1 west for about 25 kilometers, then turn onto Route 518 towards Bifröst. Glanni Waterfall is located near Bifröst, and you will find signs along the route. The parking area is close to the waterfall.

Public Transportation

To reach Glanni Waterfall using public transportation, take a bus from Reykjavik to Borgarnes, operated by Strætó (www.straeto.is). The journey takes about 1.5 hours. Once in Borgarnes, you will need to either take a taxi or arrange for a shuttle service to get to Bifröst, which is approximately 25 kilometers away. Ensure to check the local bus schedules for return trips. Costs may vary depending on the taxi service.

Walking
