The last part of the journey involves a gravel road that leads to a parking area near the waterfall. Make sure your vehicle is suitable for gravel roads.

Public Transportation

To reach Kvernufoss using public transportation, your best option is to take a bus from Vik to Skogar. The bus service operates several times a day, but be sure to check the current schedule as it can vary by season. Once you arrive at Skogar, you will need to walk approximately 2 km to Kvernufoss. Follow the signs towards the waterfall; the path is well-marked and offers lovely views along the way.

Walking

If you have parked your car or arrived by bus, the walk to Kvernufoss from the parking area is approximately 20 minutes. Follow the well-marked trail that leads you through a beautiful landscape.
