Public Transport
From downtown Lewiston, head to the nearest bus stop located at 3rd and Main Street. Take the Clearwater Transit bus (Route 1) heading towards the Nez Perce County Courthouse. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes until you reach the Lewiston Transit Center. From there, transfer to the bus heading to Spokane and ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest stop to the riverfront. After getting off, walk towards the river and follow the signs for the Fort Gorges boat launch.

Rent a bicycle from a local rental shop in downtown Lewiston. Start your ride on Main Street heading east until you reach the riverfront. From there, follow the scenic bike path along the river. Continue on the path for about 3 miles, enjoying the views. Once you reach the boat launch area, look for signs indicating the trail to Fort Gorges. It is a short hike from the launch point.
