From the center of Sawtooth, head south on ID-75 towards Shoshone. Continue on ID-75 for approximately 25 miles. As you approach Shoshone, keep an eye out for signs indicating the route to Black Magic Canyon. Turn right onto ID-75 and follow it for another 4 miles. The canyon will be located on your left, marked by a pull-off area where you can park your car. Make sure to have a map or GPS device handy, as the signage can be limited.

If you are relying on public transportation, start by taking the Mountain Rides bus service from Sawtooth to Shoshone. Check the schedule for the latest departure times. Once in Shoshone, you will need to arrange for a taxi or rideshare service, as public transport does not directly reach Black Magic Canyon. The taxi ride from Shoshone to Black Magic Canyon will take about 10 minutes, covering roughly 4 miles. Ensure to confirm the fare with the driver beforehand.
