Public Transit - Metra Train
From Arlington Heights, head to the Arlington Heights Metra Station located at 45 W Northwest Hwy. Take the Union Pacific Northwest Line towards Chicago. The train should take approximately 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Chicago Union Station, exit the train and follow signs to the street level. From Union Station, you can take the CTA 'L' train. Walk to the nearby Clark/Lake station, which is about a 10-minute walk. Take the Brown, Green, Pink, or Purple Line towards Kimball and get off at the Washington/Wells station. Exit the station and head east on Washington Street for about 2 blocks until you reach La Salle Street. Turn left on La Salle Street and walk north for one block to reach City Hall at 121 N La Salle St.

Public Transit - CTA Bus
From Arlington Heights, make your way to the nearest bus stop for the Pace bus service. Take the Pace Route 696 towards the Rosemont CTA station. This will take about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Rosemont, transfer to the Blue Line 'L' train towards Forest Park. Ride the train for approximately 30 minutes and get off at the Washington station. From there, walk one block east on Washington Street, then turn left on La Salle Street and walk north for one block to reach City Hall at 121 N La Salle St.

If you are staying in Arlington Heights near the downtown area, you can take a leisurely walk to City Hall. Start from the Arlington Heights Memorial Library located at 500 N Dunton Ave. Walk south on Dunton Ave until you reach E Campbell St. Turn left and walk east until you reach S Arlington Heights Rd. Turn right and continue until you reach the intersection with E Northwest Hwy. Cross the street at the crosswalk and head towards the Metra Train Station. From there, you can take the train or bus options mentioned above to reach City Hall.
