Getting There

• Walking

  If you are in the Chicago Loop area, the Richard J. Daley Plaza Fountain is easily accessible on foot. Start at the State/Lake subway station (Brown, Green, Orange, Pink, and Purple lines). Exit the station and head east on Lake Street for one block until you reach State Street. Turn left (north) on State Street and walk for about three blocks until you reach Washington Street. Turn right (east) on Washington Street and walk for another block. The fountain is located at 50 W Washington St, in Richard J. Daley Plaza, which will be on your left.

• Public Transit

  To reach Richard J. Daley Plaza Fountain using public transit, find the nearest 'L' train station. If you are near the Clark/Lake station, take the Brown Line or Purple Line towards Kimball. Get off at the Washington/Wells station. Exit the station and head east on Washington Street for about two blocks. The fountain is located at 50 W Washington St, at the Richard J. Daley Plaza, which will be on your right.

• Bus

  If you prefer to take the bus, check the nearest bus stops for routes that travel along Washington Street. Routes such as the 20 (Madison) or 126 (Jackson) will get you close. Board the bus and ask the driver to notify you when you reach the stop at Washington and Clark. Once you get off, walk west on Washington Street for one block, and you will find Richard J. Daley Plaza Fountain at 50 W Washington St on your left.
