Getting There

  • Public Transit - Bus

    From the center of Berwyn, walk to the nearest bus stop on Ogden Avenue. Take the Pace Bus Route 322 towards 'Cicero Orange Line'. Ride for approximately 15 minutes until you reach the 'Cicero & 18th' stop. Transfer to the CTA Pink Line train at 18th Street. Ride the Pink Line towards 'California' for about 20 minutes until you reach the '18th & Damen' station. Exit the train and walk to the Damen bus stop. Take the CTA Bus Route 53 towards 'Pulaski & 18th'. Ride the bus for about 25 minutes until you reach 'Museum Campus'. From there, it's a short walk to the Adler Planetarium.

  • Public Transit - Train

    From the Berwyn Metra Station, board the BNSF Railway line towards Chicago Union Station. The train ride will take approximately 25 minutes. Once you arrive at Union Station, exit the station and head to the CTA 'State/Lake' station. Transfer to the Red Line and take the train toward 'Howard'. Travel for about 10 minutes and get off at 'Roosevelt' station. From Roosevelt, transfer to the CTA Bus Route 12 or 146 towards 'Museum Campus'. After about 10 minutes, get off at the 'Adler Planetarium' stop, which is right in front of the attraction.

    If you are staying in a hotel or location near the Berwyn Metra Station, the Adler Planetarium is approximately 10 miles away. Start by walking to the Metra Station and take the train as described above. If walking directly, it would take a considerable amount of time, so we recommend using public transportation as described to avoid fatigue.
