From Bolingbrook, walk to the nearest bus stop on the corner of Weber Road and Boughton Road. Take the Pace Bus Route 755 towards the 'Naperville Train Station'. After about 30 minutes, transfer at the Naperville Train Station to the Metra Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Line towards Chicago Union Station. Get off at the 'Union Station' stop. From Union Station, take the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) Red Line train towards 'Howard' and get off at 'State/Lake' station. Transfer to the CTA #151 bus towards 'Michigan & Oak'. Ride until you reach 'Michigan & Chicago' and then walk two blocks east to 806 Michigan Ave, where the City Gallery in the Historic Water Tower is located.

From Bolingbrook, head to the nearest Metra station, which is the 'Bolingbrook Station'. Take the Metra train on the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) line towards Chicago Union Station. The ride takes approximately 45 minutes. Upon arrival at Union Station, exit the train and walk to the nearby 'State/Lake' CTA station. Take the CTA Red Line train towards 'Howard' and disembark at 'State/Lake' station. From there, transfer to the CTA #151 bus heading to 'Michigan & Oak' and ride until you reach 'Michigan & Chicago'. Walk two blocks east to reach 806 Michigan Ave, the location of the City Gallery in the Historic Water Tower.

If you prefer to walk or bike, you can follow the local bike paths starting from Bolingbrook. Use the path leading north through the neighborhood until you reach the DuPage River Trail. Follow the trail towards Naperville. Once in Naperville, connect to the bike routes that lead you towards downtown Chicago. This route is approximately 30 miles and may take several hours depending on your speed. Arriving in downtown Chicago, follow the local signs directing you towards Michigan Ave. The City Gallery in the Historic Water Tower is located at 806 Michigan Ave, easily accessible on foot.
