Car
If you're traveling by car, head towards Springfield, IL. Once in Springfield, navigate to 930 E Monroe St. From I-55, take the exit for Stevenson Dr, then turn left onto E Stevenson Dr. Continue straight until you reach S 5th St, then turn right. Follow S 5th St and take a left onto E Monroe St. The Lincoln Depot will be on your left, just before the intersection with S 9th St. Parking is available on the street, but be mindful of any parking meters or restrictions.
Public Transportation
If you prefer public transportation, you can take the Springfield Mass Transit District (SMTD) buses. Look for routes that service downtown Springfield. The nearest SMTD bus stop to Lincoln Depot is located on E Monroe St. Make sure to check the SMTD website or app for the latest schedules and routes. A single bus ride costs $1.00, so keep some change handy. After alighting, proceed west on E Monroe St for about two blocks until you reach Lincoln Depot at 930 E Monroe St.
Bicycle
For those who enjoy cycling, Springfield has bike lanes that can help you navigate to Lincoln Depot. Ensure you have a bike map of Springfield. If you are coming from the north, you can take the bike path along the Sangamon River to reach downtown. Once you arrive in the downtown area, make your way to E Monroe St, where Lincoln Depot is located. Make sure to lock your bike at a designated bike rack nearby.
Walking
If you're already in downtown Springfield, walking to Lincoln Depot is quite convenient. From the Old State Capitol, head east on E Washington St, then turn left onto S 5th St. Continue south until you reach E Monroe St, then turn right. Lincoln Depot will be on your left at 930 E Monroe St. This walk takes approximately 15 minutes and allows you to enjoy the sights of downtown.
