If you're traveling by car within Chain O'Lakes State Park, you will first need to exit the park and head towards Grass Lake Road. Depending on where you are in the park, you may take any route that leads you to IL-173 W. Once you reach IL-173 W, turn right and drive for approximately 6 miles until you reach Grass Lake Road. Turn left onto Grass Lake Road (W Grass Lake Rd) and continue for about 1.5 miles. Blarney Island will be located on your left at 27760 W Grass Lake Rd, Antioch, IL 60002. There is usually ample parking available nearby.
Public Transportation
If you are using public transportation, you will need to take a bus from a nearby town that connects to Antioch. Check the local transit schedules for routes that go to Antioch, IL. Once you reach the Antioch bus station, you can either walk or take a local taxi service to Blarney Island. It's approximately a 15-minute walk (0.7 miles) from the bus station. Take Main St south, turn right onto Grass Lake Rd, and continue until you reach Blarney Island at 27760 W Grass Lake Rd. Please check the latest transit schedules for any updates or changes.
Boat
