  • Public Transit - Bus

    If you're starting from downtown Chicago, take the #151 bus heading north from Michigan Ave & Washington St. Ride the bus for about 20 minutes. Get off at the stop at North Ave & Lake Shore Dr. From there, walk east towards the beach. North Avenue Beach will be straight ahead.

  • Public Transit - Train

    From downtown, board the Brown Line train at any of the Loop stations (e.g., Washington/Wells). Ride the train to the Armitage station. Once you arrive, exit the station and walk east on Armitage Ave for about 10 minutes until you reach Lake Shore Dr. Turn left (north) and continue walking until you reach North Avenue Beach.

    If you are in Lincoln Park, simply walk south on Lincoln Ave. Continue until you reach North Ave. Turn east on North Ave and walk straight until you reach the beach. This will take about 15-20 minutes depending on your pace.
