Getting There

  • Public Transit - CTA 'L' Train

    If you're near a CTA 'L' train station, you can take the Red Line or the Blue Line to get to Millennium Park. If you're on the Red Line, board a train heading towards '95th/Dan Ryan' and get off at 'State/Lake' station. From there, walk east on Washington Street until you reach Michigan Avenue. Turn left and head north on Michigan Avenue. Continue until you reach Randolph Street, then turn right. Millennium Park will be on your left, and Cloud Gate is located at 201 E Randolph St. If you're on the Blue Line, board a train towards 'Uptown' and get off at 'Washington' station. Walk east to Michigan Avenue and follow the same directions as above.

    You can take several bus routes to get to Cloud Gate. For example, if you are near the State Street & Washington Street bus stop, you can catch the #147 or #151 bus heading north. After about 5-10 minutes, get off at the Michigan Ave & Randolph St stop. From there, walk east on Randolph Street for about two blocks. Cloud Gate will be located in Millennium Park at 201 E Randolph St. Alternatively, you can take the #3, #4, #8 or #20 buses that also stop near Millennium Park.

    If you are already in the Loop area, you can easily walk to Cloud Gate. Start at the corner of State Street and Washington Street. Head east on Washington St until you reach Michigan Avenue. Turn left to walk north on Michigan Avenue for about two blocks, then turn right onto Randolph Street. Cloud Gate will be in Millennium Park right in front of you at 201 E Randolph St. The walk is approximately 10-15 minutes depending on your pace.

    If you have access to a Divvy bike or your own bike, you can ride to Millennium Park. There are bike lanes along major streets. Navigate to Michigan Avenue and bike north until you reach Randolph Street. Turn right onto Randolph and follow it into Millennium Park. There are bike racks available nearby where you can lock up your bike. Cloud Gate will be in front of you at 201 E Randolph St.
