Getting There

• Public Transit (Bus)

  If you are near the Chicago Loop, head to the nearest bus stop for the #66 Chicago bus. Board the bus heading north. After about 15-20 minutes, get off at the intersection of Erie St and State St. From there, walk east on Erie St for about 2 blocks, and you will reach Nickerson House at 40 E Erie St.

• Public Transit (Train)

  Make your way to the nearest 'Red Line' train station, such as State/Lake or Harold Washington. Board a train heading towards Howard. Get off at the Chicago stop. From there, exit the station and walk east on Chicago Ave towards State St. Turn left on State St and walk north until you reach Erie St. Turn right on Erie St, and Nickerson House will be on your left at 40 E Erie St.

• Walking

  If you are already in the Near North Side area, simply navigate to Erie St. Walk along Erie St towards the east until you reach 40 E Erie St. You can use local landmarks like the nearby Water Tower or the John Hancock Center as reference points to guide your way.

  For those who prefer biking, locate a Divvy bike station nearby. Rent a bike and head east towards State St. Turn north on State St, then east again onto Erie St. Continue riding until you reach Nickerson House at 40 E Erie St. There are bike racks available near the entrance.
