Getting There

• Walking

  If you are starting from the southern end of the Magnificent Mile, at the intersection of Michigan Avenue and Oak Street, head north on Michigan Avenue. Continue walking until you reach the intersection with Pearson Street. Turn right (east) onto Pearson Street, and you will find the Chicago Historical Water Tower at 109 E Pearson St, just a short walk from Michigan Avenue.

• Public Transportation (Bus)

  You can take the CTA #151 bus heading east on Michigan Avenue. Board the bus at any stop along Michigan Avenue in the Magnificent Mile area. Disembark at the stop at Pearson Street. From there, walk east on Pearson Street, and the Chicago Historical Water Tower will be located at 109 E Pearson St, just a few steps away from the bus stop. The fare for the bus is $2.50 (exact change required or use a Ventra card).

• Public Transportation (L Train)

  If you prefer to take the L train, head to the closest station, which is the Chicago station on the Brown Line or the Red Line. From either station, exit and walk east towards State Street. Head north on State Street until you reach Pearson Street. Turn left (west) onto Pearson Street, and the Chicago Historical Water Tower will be at 109 E Pearson St. The train fare is $2.50, and you can use a Ventra card or purchase a ticket at the station.
