Chicago's Iconic Historical Water Tower

Getting There

• Walking

  If you are already in the River North neighborhood, you can walk to the Chicago Historical Water Tower located at 109 E Pearson St. Start by heading east on any street towards Michigan Avenue. Once you reach Michigan Avenue, turn right (south) and continue walking until you reach the intersection with E Pearson St. Turn left (east) onto E Pearson St, and you should see the Water Tower ahead. The entire walk should take approximately 10-15 minutes, depending on your starting point.

• Public Transit - Bus

  You can take the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) bus to get to the Chicago Historical Water Tower. Look for the number 151 bus heading towards 'Sheridan & Lawrence.' Board the bus at any nearby stop in River North. Ride the bus for about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Disembark at the stop at Michigan Ave & Pearson St. From there, walk one block east along Pearson St to reach the Water Tower. A single bus fare is $2.50, and you can pay using a Ventra card or cash.

• Public Transit - Train

  To reach the Chicago Historical Water Tower by train, you can take the Red Line train from any nearby station in River North. Board the train heading towards 'Howard.' Get off at the 'Chicago' station. From there, exit the station and walk east towards Michigan Avenue. Once at Michigan Avenue, turn right (south) and walk until you reach E Pearson St. Turn left on E Pearson St, and the Water Tower will be ahead. The train fare is also $2.50, payable via Ventra card.
