Getting There

Car
If you're driving, head towards North Aurora. From downtown Fox Valley, take IL-31 N (South River Street). Continue on IL-31 N until you reach the intersection with IL-56 E (Butterfield Road). Turn left onto IL-56 E and follow it until you reach N River Rd. Turn right onto N River Rd, and after about 1.5 miles, you will find Red Oak Nature Center on your left at 930 N River Rd, North Aurora, IL 60542. There is free parking available on-site.

Public Transportation
For public transportation, start by taking a Pace bus from downtown Fox Valley. You can take the Pace Route 803, which will take you northbound. Get off at the stop at E Indian Trail Rd & N River Rd. From there, it’s about a 10-minute walk to Red Oak Nature Center. Head east on E Indian Trail Rd, then turn north onto N River Rd. Walk straight for about 0.5 miles until you reach the center. Ensure to check the Pace bus schedule for any timing and fare information.

If you're biking, you can follow the Fox River Trail north from downtown Fox Valley. The trail is well-marked and offers scenic views along the river. Once you get close to North Aurora, you will need to exit the trail and head towards N River Rd. Follow local streets to reach Red Oak Nature Center at 930 N River Rd.
