In 2002, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The surrounding area offers ample photo opportunities, allowing visitors to capture the unique architecture and Americana vibe.Though the catsup plant no longer operates, the bottle remains a treasured landmark, drawing tourists from all over. The Catsup Bottle Preservation Group was formed in 1993 when the tower's future was in jeopardy. The group raised $80,000 to restore the bottle in 1995. Every year since 1998, Collinsville has celebrated the landmark with a festival.
