The World's Largest Catsup Bottle is a quirky and iconic roadside attraction located in Collinsville, Illinois. Constructed in 1949 as a water tower for the G.S. Suppiger Company, which bottled Brooks catsup, the giant bottle reflects mid-20th century roadside Americana.The bottle stands 170 feet tall and could hold 100,000 gallons of water. In 2002, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places. The surrounding area offers ample photo opportunities, allowing visitors to capture the unique architecture and Americana vibe.Though the catsup plant no longer operates, the bottle remains a treasured landmark, drawing tourists from all over. The Catsup Bottle Preservation Group was formed in 1993 when the tower's future was in jeopardy. The group raised $80,000 to restore the bottle in 1995. Every year since 1998, Collinsville has celebrated the landmark with a festival.
