Turn left onto IL-3 South and follow it for approximately 12 miles. After crossing the Clark Bridge, continue straight to merge onto I-270 West. Take Exit 1B for I-70 East toward Indianapolis. Follow I-70 for about 8 miles, then take Exit 17 for MO-94 toward Portage Des Sioux. Continue on MO-94 for about 7 miles until you reach Portage Des Sioux. Look for signs directing you to the Portage Des Sioux Nature Area, which will be on your left.

If you are using public transportation, start by taking a bus or train to St. Louis, MO. From St. Louis, you can take the MetroLink light rail to the North Hanley Station. From there, transfer to the #94 bus towards St. Charles. Disembark at the intersection of MO-94 and Portage Des Sioux Road. From this stop, it's a short walk (about 1 mile) to the Portage Des Sioux Nature Area. Make sure to check the bus schedule for the most current times and any potential transfers.

For those who wish to bike, start on the Great River Road and head south towards the river. Follow the scenic bike paths along the river until you reach the intersection with IL-3 South.
