Getting There

• Public Bus

  To reach the Elgin Public Museum from downtown Naperville, you can take the Pace Bus Route 715. Start at the Naperville Metra Station and walk to the nearest bus stop on Washington Street. Board the westbound Pace Bus 715 towards Elgin. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes, and get off at the stop near Grand Boulevard and Douglas Avenue. From there, walk south on Grand Boulevard for about 5 minutes, and you will arrive at Elgin Public Museum located at 225 Grand Blvd, Elgin, IL 60120.

• Bicycle

  If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the bike-sharing stations in Naperville. Start from downtown Naperville and head northwest on the DuPage River Trail. Follow the path until you reach the intersection with the Fox River Trail. Turn right and continue along the Fox River Trail until you reach Elgin. The ride will take approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. Once in Elgin, navigate to Grand Boulevard, and the museum will be on your left at 225 Grand Blvd.

• Walking

  For those who enjoy walking, it's a bit of a trek but possible. Start from the Naperville Riverwalk and head north towards the Washington Street Bridge. Cross the bridge and continue walking northeast along the marked paths until you reach the intersection of Route 59 and I-90. Follow the pedestrian paths along Route 59 north until you reach Elgin. This walk will take about 2 hours, so be prepared with comfortable shoes and water. Once you reach Elgin, navigate to Grand Boulevard, and the museum will be at 225 Grand Blvd.
