Getting There

    If you are in downtown Elgin, start at the Elgin Public Library located at 270 N Grove Ave. Exit the library and head west on N Grove Ave towards E Highland Ave. Turn left onto E Highland Ave and walk until you hit the intersection with N State St. Turn right onto N State St and continue walking until you reach the Fox River. At the river, turn left onto the riverwalk path. Follow the path north along the Fox River for approximately 1 mile until you reach the entrance to Trout Park River's Edge.

    From the Elgin Community College, exit onto Spartan Drive and head west, then turn left onto E Chicago St. Continue to follow E Chicago St as it becomes E Highland Ave. Once you reach N State St, turn right and head towards the Fox River. You will find bike paths along the river. Follow the path north for about 1.5 miles. Trout Park River's Edge will be on your left.

    Start at the Elgin Train Station located at 100 W Douglas Ave. Take the Pace Bus Route 800 from the station heading towards the Elgin Community College. Get off at the stop for Trout Park, which is near the entrance of Trout Park River's Edge. From the bus stop, walk east for a short distance and you will find the entrance to the park.
